Let’s dig in!

The following are five secret steps you can use to create content that convince and converts clients without fail…

Address a Specific Audience

To be able to convince and convert client using content marketing, you need to identify the particular kind of audience you want to target.

The reason is not far fetched. You cannot successfully make any headway with a piece of content without identifying the audience that will need such content and creating the content to meet their specific needs.

This is where a lot of amateur content creators miss it. And i did miss it at some point when i started out early.

You don’t want to make such mistakes with your content so even when you’re working on creating your content strategy, be sure you identify your target audience and find a way to create the content in a way that will appeal to them.

Forget about creating content without identifying your audience. It’ll only lead to a sheer waste of time. Identify your audience first and then then it gets easier to create what works for them.

Here’s a complete guide on how to identify your audience here. You can check it up to have an idea on how to create your audience.

Meet the Needs of your Audience

You can’t sound convincing to anyone if you’re not addressing something they are actually interested in.

So, to create a piece of content that can convince and convert any client, you have to meet their needs at the particular time. And to get started at this, you have to be able to identify the needs of your audience.

This is one reason you can’t wake up and create whatever content you feel you should without such content being able to add a unique value to your reader.

So, after identifying your audience, you need to further identify the things that matter to them using indicators like questions they ask, searches they make online, websites they read and other search engine tools like Wordstream, Ubersuggest, Google Trends etc.

With these tools and observation, you will be able to come up with an idea about what matters to your audience and then you can create you content around that.

PS: While at it, remember that there’s only a thin line between a content that contains huge value and the one a reader really wants to read.

For example, the fact you make a very detailed post that contains a step by step processes on how to cure HIV naturally might not be useful to me if all I’m looking for at the moment is content on how to treat Type 1 Diabetes.

So, even when your content is valuable, always remember that to convince and convert clients using content marketing, beyond being valuable, your content has to be relevant to the audience you’re addressing Be very conscious of this at all times.

Optimize for SEO

You might feel that Search Engine Optimization does not play a key role when it comes to creating a piece of content that will convince and convert clients but that’s wrong.

SEO is very important. It enables you to attract the right kind of audience to view your content. And as you’ll rightly guess, without visibility, you can’t even get the audience to read your content.

So, the first thing you want to do before piecing together the kind of content you want to use to convince and convert clients is to find out the major SEO elements that will attract the audience in the first place.

Starting with the keywords, identify the search terms and topics that matters to your audience. Use those keywords in your content while you create them.

If you’re creating video or audio content, work on using those keywords in your descriptions and also input them where you have options to list out the keywords, search terms and categories.

When you’ve completely created your content, you can then work on other aspects of SEO like meta Tags, Title tags, Backlinks etc., ensuring that the content is well optimized for SEO.

Promote to reach your Audience

To convince and convert clients in their numbers, you have to reach as large number of audience as possible. And one of the ways to do this is to promote your content.

Now to get started, you want to take your content to your target audience, exactly where they are. So you need to find out, where they are.

Starting with the social media, find out the top social media platforms that have a large number of your audience. Create a handle on that platform and begin to promote your content there.

Another thing, find out the sub groups, forums that matter to them. Join those groups. Interact, engage with other content creators in that groups and also share your content there.

If you’re on platforms like Instagram, Tiktok, etc., find out the hashtags that matters to your audience and be sure to use them when sharing your content on that platform.

Doing this, you will get to reach a lot more people. And naturally, the more you reach out to the right kind of audience, the more you’re able to get to convince and convert clients.

Communicate Convincingly

The language you create your content is also very important and you must pay attention to this, if you really want to convince and convert clients using content marketing.

For example, it’s obvious, to sound more convincing to a Chinese audience, you want to use Mandarin. Just the same way you’d use English if you want to communicate fluently with an audience based in the United States.

But beyond that, you have to know how to use the right kind of power words, adjectives and copy content that will sound more convincing to your audience.

So, instead of using general everyday kind of words, understand in a virtual world, to be able to sell, you have to appeal to your clients. And there are some adjectives and selected trigger words that can make you sound more appealing than the others, based in your niche.

Be sure to include these in your content. Because doing that will increase your KLT.

Conclusion

Beyond the items listed above, there are some other things you also need to pay attention to if you really want to convince and convert clients with your content.

For instance, also have to demonstrate credibility by sharing your stories, expertise and experiences. This is because people are more likely to belief you if you can demonstrate credibility.

Again, you need to learn how to collaborate with other brands in your niche. This will expand your visibility and even get more people to like your brand in a way.

But above all, no matter whatever content marketing strategy you want to use to convince and convert clients, always remember that sometimes you may need a lot of patience to walk your potential clients, through their journey down to when they can actually buy from you.

So, as you can see, this is not a sprint. It’s the kind of marathon you will reap the rewards. And yes, using these tips will transform your content marketing experience as it did mine.
