Since you already have your goals outlined in step one above, your primary responsibility right now is to define or choose a niche that’s in line with those goals.
So, if for example your goal for starting your technology blog is to grow your business, you can then pick up your business and then find a niche that is suitable for content that revolves around your business.
If your purpose of starting a blog on the other hand is to share ideas you’re enthusiastic about then you should find a niche that revolves around that area. And find ways to create content that will appeal to people in that niche.
Regardless of your purpose of blogging, one thing you want to keep in mind is that you don’t want to start creating content around everything technology. To scale your blog and create thought leadership for your brand, you want to choose a niche or sub niche that works.
Get your Audience
When it comes to blogging, content is king. It is very crucial in the scheme of things because it is the lifewire of blogging.
But regardless of how important it is, you don’t want to start creating content without actually understanding your goals, identifying your niche, your target audience and the kind of content that appeals to them.
So, right now you want to head over to step one and two. Find your blogging goals and blogging niche then begin to identify the kind of audience that will be interested in this kind of niche.
To get a better result from this process, start with identifying your target audience, find out who they are and what their content preferences is all about.
To get started, you can find out an existing blog with close similarities to the one you want to start. Find out about their audience and the content that appeals to that audience by having a look on that website.
